From a barcode check to product monitoring
1. Check a product
Enter or scan a valid UPC/GTIN. The public lookup does not require an account and does not automatically create a saved product.
2. Confirm what the result means
An exact match means you must check the affected lot, model, size and dates. No exact match means only that this barcode was not found in the current index; it does not establish safety. If the service is unavailable, recall status is unknown.
3. Save the product to your account
Choose Save to My Products after a lookup. If you are signed out, sign in or create an account, then return to the barcode and choose Save. Review or remove saved products in My Products.
4. Set your notification preferences
Review email preferences and enable push separately on each supported device. On iPhone, web push requires a supported Home Screen installation and permission. A sent or delivered email status does not prove Inbox placement.
What monitoring can promise
SafetyPulse checks saved identifiers against incoming recall records on a schedule. It cannot promise detection at the moment a notice is published, complete recall coverage, or delivery of every notification. Check official notices when you have a safety concern.
Check this device
Use one site address throughout the test. An installation of the live site does not test a preview.
iPhone setup
Open this site in Safari, use Share → Add to Home Screen, then launch that icon. Sign in and open Notifications. Choose Enable alerts and allow notifications when prompted.
Display and delivery
Local display test requests a notification on this device. Tap it and confirm the Alerts page opens. This does not test server delivery. A separate, controlled remote notification is needed to verify delivery while the app is closed.
Camera and product
Open Scan, choose Open camera, and allow camera access. Scan a barcode from a product you want to track, compare the digits, save it and check My Products after Refresh. No match is not a safety guarantee.
