Wyze Solar Cam Pan recalled due to burn and fire hazards

Issue

Incorrect assembly instructions can lead consumers to puncture the lithium-ion battery’s metal casing and cause the battery to rapidly overheat, posing fire or burn hazards. As of May 5, 2026, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 12 reports of incidents and 5 reports of burn injuries.

What you should do

• Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Wyze Solar Cam Pan and visit the Wyze Labs Inc website for the company’s refund process.
• For more information, consumers can contact Wyze labs, Inc by telephone toll-free at 1-888-832-7226 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. PST Monday to Friday, by email at recall@wyze.com or visit the company website.
• Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Wyze Labs, Inc.
• Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
• Health Canada would like to remind consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.
