Wild Country Ropeman 1 Ascenders recalled due to potential physical hazard

Issue

The teeth of the recalled ascenders can fail to engage and make it difficult or impossible for the user to ascend, posing a physical hazard. As of May 28, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries.

What you should do

• Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and return them to any authorized Wild Country dealer or to Wild Country directly for a replacement product.

• Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission and Salewa USA, LLC.
• Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
• Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.
