Various MG Chemicals Industrial Strength products recalled due improper labelling and lack of child-resistant packaging

Issue

The recalled products do not meet the labelling and child-resistant packaging requirements required by the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act. The lack of child-resistant packaging presents a risk of unintentional exposure, which could lead to serious illness or injury, including death. As of September 23, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

What you should do

• Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and return to MG Chemicals for a refund.

• Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
• Health Canada would like to remind consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.
