Updated Recall: Prizer-Painter Stove Works, Inc. recalls BlueStar and Big Chill Brand Gas Ranges and Wall Ovens

Issue

What you should do

• Consumers should immediately switch off the convection fan, keep the convection fan turned off, and contact the company to arrange for a repair. On all affected models, the convection fan switch is located on the oven control panel located next to the symbol of a fan. To turn off the fan, move the convection fan switch down to the "off" position.
• For more information, consumers may contact Prizer-Painter Stove Works by telephone toll-free at 1-800-449-8691 from Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Consumers may also obtain additional recall information by visiting the BlueStar and Big chill websites.
• Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission's website (US CPSC to provide link).
• Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
• Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.
