Roller and Duo Blinds by Interiors by Better Shade recalled due to a strangulation hazard

Issue

Health Canada has determined that the recalled products do not meet the Corded Window Coverings Regulations and pose a strangulation hazard. Young children may pull looped cords around their neck, or become entangled in the cords, causing a strangulation hazard and even death. Health Canada recommends cordless window coverings. For more information on the hazard, see Blind Cord Safety. As of January 23, 2026, the company has received no report of incidents or injury in Canada.

What you should do

• Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Roller and Duo Blinds and contact Interiors by Better Shade for a kit and additional instructions.
