DescriptionOrganique Nourishing Night Cream by Himalaya USA Product description This recall involves the Organique Nourishing Night Cream by Himalaya USA. The product is sold in a 100 millilitre (3.38 oz) pump cylinder that is teal in colour with an orange cap. The product can be identified by the UPC 605069200196 or the following batch numbers: S691001 or S691002 located on the bottom of the bottle. Hazard identified The bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and fungus were found present in samples of Nourishing Night Cream batch #S691001. These microbes may cause infection in those with a weakened immune system or if introduced to broken skin. The source of the contamination was traced to the bottle's pump components. Himalaya USA has voluntarily expanded the recall to batch #S691002, as it may pose a similar risk. Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of this product. Number sold Approximately 468 units of the recalled products were sold in Canada. Time period sold The recalled products were sold from January 21, 2011 to January 3, 2012. Place of origin Manufactured in India.
