DescriptionThis recall involves Benchmark-branded 22-inch, 15 amp electric snow thrower. The Product has a red and black base and wheels and a black handle. The word “BENCHMARK” is written on the side of the product. The product bears model number YF6022, which can be located on a label on the back of the base of the machine.

Issue

The power cable on the affected units may break when exposed to extreme cold weather, causing a potential electric shock injury. As of October 5, 2026, the company has received 19 reports of the power cord of the product breaking in Canada, and no reports of injuries.

  • Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact Home Hardware for instructions on how to destroy the product in exchange for a refund.
