There are 2 types of hair dryers in this series: BabylissPro TT and the Mighty Mini. The following model numbers are affected by this recall: BTMDV052C BTMDVK052C BTM052C BTM052RDC MMDBLUE MMDWHITE The warning label on the product names "Dannyco Trading (Canada) Ltée" and not Conair Corporation. The hair dryers have been certified to Canadian standards by Intertek and have the CETL mark on the warning label. Hazard identified The plastic housing of the hair dryer may break, posing a laceration hazard to users. Conair USA has received 16 reports of the fan breaking, causing the housing to shatter. This has led to 7 complaints of minor lacerations and 1 report of a person seeking medical attention. In Canada, there have been 2 reports of incidents. Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these hair dryers. Number sold Approximately 28 000 of the recalled hair dryers were sold in Canada. Time period sold The recalled products were distributed between March 2007 and August 2009. Place of origin Manufactured in China.
