DescriptionThe First Years® Newborn-to-Toddler Reclining Feeding Seat Product description Portable seat for newborns, infants, and toddlers. The feeding seat can be adjusted between reclining and upright positions and fastens to a kitchen chair. The seat includes a tray, reversible cushion and a three-point safety belt. Seats with an "R" stamped inside a raised circle located on the far left and right sides of the back of the seatback, and the seats with waist strap slots that are 22 cm apart are not being recalled. Hazard identified The reclining feeding seats have restraining straps that fit through slots on the bottom portion of the seat back. The affected seats have slots that are too wide, which may cause the restraining straps to disengage from the seat back and could permit the child to slip out of the seat. RC2 has received 38 complaints of malfunctioning restraining straps, including 12 instances of children falling from the seats; none of which required medical attention. Health Canada has not received reports of injury to Canadians related to the use of this product.
