Description4-Square Belgian Waffle Maker Product description This recall involves All-Clad 4-square Belgian waffle makers, which are electric and have a stainless steel exterior. The recalled product can be identified by reference number WD700462 and a 4-digit manufacture date code that ends in "08". The reference number and date code can be found on a white label on the bottom of the waffle maker. Hazard identified The wiring inside the waffle maker can be damaged and may contact the metal body, posing a shock or fire hazard to users. Outside of Canada, there have been 23 reports made to All-Clad of waffle makers emitting sparks, with no reported injuries. Neither All-Clad nor Health Canada has received any reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. Number sold Approximately 787 of the recalled products were sold in Canada.
